Along inspects healthcare centres under Mangkolemba

Mokokchung, April 28 (EMN): The minister of Higher and Technical Education and chairman of Mangkolemba Sub-division Planning and Development Board (SDPDB), Temjen Imna Along, culminated his tour of all the healthcare centres under Mangkolemba ADC headquarters on Tuesday.

The minister began his tour on April 25 to take stock of the preparedness level to fight Covid-19 by the frontline workers in all the healthcare centres.

The minister visited Lakhuni, Nokpu, Longchem, Lirmen, Yajang-A, Yajang-C and Saringyim villages under Japukong range of Longchem EAC circle as well as other villages under Mangkolemba sub-division, stated the press secretary to the minister.

During his visit, Along interacted with frontline workers at health centres and assured that all sub-centres, wellness centres, and primary health centres would be revamped under 30 Alongtaki AC. He added that necessary medical equipment and medicines should not be lacking and assured to provide two ambulances for Tzurangkong PHC and Longchem PHC.

Along also encouraged the village councils and people of the sub-division to give more importance in farming activities such as initiating kitchen garden within their areas for self-sufficiency. To encourage farming in the area, he further extended help by providing vegetable saplings to every village.
