DIMAPUR — The All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association (ANPSA) Central held its 43rd annual general body meeting (AGBM) on October 16 at the NBCC Platinum Hall, Kohima, on the theme ‘From challenges to opportunities: Reimagining education for the next generation.’


Addressing the event as special guest, Director of Youth Resources & Sports, Kethosituo Sekhose, commended the private schools for their significant contribution to the country's high literacy rate, the association stated in a press release.


Sekhose also expressed gratitude to the private schools for their overwhelming support and participation in the inaugural Catch Them Young U-14 State Level Sepak Takraw tournament, organised in collaboration with them. He further urged the schools to work closely with parents to encourage more students to participate in various sports disciplines.

In the key note session moderated by ANPSA Central joint secretary Abalie Medoze, the association’s president Nini Sekhose underscored the core challenges faced by the private schools and encouraged the members to convert such challenges into opportunities and work for the betterment of the student community.


She also welcomed the members and presented the association’s achievements in the last one year.


Leneno Y Disong presented the treasurer’s report and PJ Nathan read out the secretary’s report.


Senior advisor Phelhoupfelie Kesezie presented the report of the search committee and announced the new team of office bearers for the term 2026-2028, which will be headed by Bithungo Kikon.


The other members include Rev. Fr. Jacob Charalel, Ketholuo Sekhose, Zhopota Rhakho, Nzanbeni Tsopoe, Benisha Keppen and PJ Nathan, Nini Sekhose, Phelhoupfelie Kesezie and Imlongchaba as advisors.


Rev. Fr. Jacob Charalel, vice president ANPSA Central, invoked God’s blessings and Imlongchaba pronounced the closing prayer. Altogether 70 members from 12 different districts attended the AGBM, the release stated.
