All principals of all colleges both government-run and privately-run institutions under Kohima district have been asked to nominate or re-nominate one capable and sincere lecturer or assistant professor to the office of the deputy commissioner & district election officer for appointment as a college BLO urgently. The matter is to be submitted in hard copy or be sent to the office email: dckma-ngl@nic.in by not later than September 12, Friday, with name, designation and contact number.
As directed by the Election Commission of India, college booth-level officers of various colleges were directed to attend necessary briefing and performing duty. However, Addition Deputy Commissioner of Kohima Asangla Imti informed today, only few turned up and none of them submitted reports, “even nil reports to the office of the District Election Officer.”
The Election Commission of India is serious about registering all eligible students of colleges in the electoral rolls proportionate to age group of 18 – 19 years as recorded in the 2011 census of Nagaland.
