All arrangements made for April 9 LS poll: CEO Nagaland

Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Nagaland, Sentiyanger Imchen while maintaining that all arrangements and facilities are in place to make voting a smooth and friendly experience appealed to all the registered voters in the state to reinforce the democratic ethos by turning up at the polling station on April 9 and exercise their right to vote in an ethical manner for the lone Lok Sabha seat.
Addressing a press conference in the Media Cell of the CEO office here, on Monday,the day campaigning ended, Imchen said Nagas have a strong sense of democracy and participation in election is a demonstration of one’s faith in the democratic process.
Expressing that conduct of election involves elaborate security management for ensuring security of polling personnel ad materials, security at the polling station and also the overall security of the election process, he said adequate security arrangement has been made by the state government to ensure peaceful, free, fair election with fearless participation of electors especially in the vulnerable and critical pockets.
He also asserted that all critical events will be videographed including preparation and storage of EVMs and counting of votes etc. Maintaining that there has not been any major law and order situation from any corner, he was hopeful that the polling day will also pass normally.
