Dimapur, June 23 (EMN): Cold Iron Studios has announced that its upcoming game Aliens: Fireteam Elite is coming to Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on August 24.

Previously known as Aliens: Fireteam, the game is a co-op survival shooter set 23 years after the original Alien trilogy. Players will get to play as one of the Colonial Marines (in a team of three) onboard the USS Endeavour, responding to a distress signal.

The game will involve three-player teams tasked with a variety of missions on far-off planets. The gameplay is similar to Valve‘s Left for Dead 4 wherein players must strategise and work together to defeat hordes of Xenomorphs. Players can choose between five marine classes: Gunner, Demolisher, Technician, Doc, and Recon. Each time a player hops into a mission, they will be supported by two Colonial Marines, and they can either be controlled by AI or other players.

The game will cost around $40 and the deluxe edition will set you back at around $69.99. The deluxe edition will include various in-game items like class kit skins, weapon colours, and head accessories.

Players who pre-orderĀ Aliens: Fireteam Elite will get the Hardened Marine Pack, which will include additional cosmetic items.
