‘Aliens: Fireteam’ announced as a third-person co-op survival shooter game
The game will hit consoles and PC this summer.
Dimapur, Mar. 2 (EMN): ‘Aliens: Fireteam‘ is a new third-person co-op survival shooter game by Cold Iron Studios that will hit consoles and PC this summer.
‘Aliens: Fireteam‘ will let players fill the boots of a US colonial marine, and let them choose between five classes: Gunner, Demolisher, Technician, Doc, and Recon. The game is set in 2202, 23 years after the events of the original trilogy. Fireteam will have RPG elements like character classes with skill-trees and weapon modifications but it should not be considered as an MMO.
‘Aliens: Fireteam‘ is a third-person squad-based shooter with an emphasis on co-op tactics as players face off waves of 20 different enemy types — including 11 different Xenomorphs.
Cold Iron Studios have been working on the game for more than six years and we can’t wait to get our hands on the finished product. Cold Iron Studios says that it has designed the game to be highly replayable. Unlike 2014’s Alien: Isolation, a first-person stealth-based survival game, ‘Aliens: Fireteam‘ is going to be an online-only co-op survival shooter with four story-driven campaigns — which players can replay with different difficulty levels and challenge cards.
‘Aliens: Fireteam‘ players will have to level up their character to unlock new weapons, abilities, and customizations over time. The studio says that the game will provide players with more than 30 weapons to choose from along with more than 70 mods and attachments.
‘Aliens: Fireteam‘ is due to hit PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, sometime in summer 2021.
