Dimapur, Oct. 22 (EMN): A seminar about the Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM) for Akuluto, in Zunheboto district, was conducted by the department of Rural Development in Akuluto town on Oct. 20.
During the event, Shihani Tsuipu, a block program manager, gave an overview of the scheme’s work, a press release from the organisers informed on Monday. He talked about the significance of NRLM for the rural poor “which will benefit the common people through diverse community institution,” the updates stated.

Another topic that he talked about, according to the updates, was gender issues concerning the mission. Unlike previous programmes, the NRLM is not only focused on promotion of self-help groups but also on all-round development of ‘our well being.’ Likewise, dist. coordinator Hiuto V Chophy highlighted the progress made by the NSRLM in Zunheboto district.

“He also asserted that NRLM is progressing all over India and Nagaland was one of the top performing states and he appealed to the village councils and VDBs to extend full support to the mission,” the updates added.
