AKTK convenes general conference, elects new office bearers

DIMAPUR — The Ao Kaketshir Telongjem, Kohima (Ao Students’ Union Kohima), (AKTK) held its general conference and Students’ Day event on Monday at Molu Ki in Kohima.

According to a DIPR report, the main speaker, engineer-in-chief of Power, Moa Aier, emphasised on the occasion the pressing need for the people to move beyond their reliance on government employment.

He stressed the importance of harnessing one’s potential, dedicating time, and channelling energy into productive endeavours, and added that by doing so, individuals can create resources for their livelihoods, reducing their dependence on government support.

Meritorious awards were also presented to HSLC and HSSLC toppers during the event, and new office bearers for the tenure 2023–2025 were elected.

The new team includes Sentilong as president, Limatemsu Jamir as vice president, Moasunep as general secretary, Sentinaro as assistant general secretary, Sentilong Yaden as information secretary, Imsenkumla Lemtur as cultural secretary, Ayimer Jamir as finance secretary, and Sunep L Imsong as assistant finance secretary.
