AKM to restrict movement of government vehicles

Mokokchung, Oct. 11 (EMN): In pursuance to the call of the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) and the Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF), the Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has decided to impose restriction on movement of state government vehicles bearing registration number NL-10 and NL-11 in Mokokchung district with effect from October 12 onwards.
The indefinite restriction on movement of state government vehicles is being imposed in protest against the failure of the state government to comply with the ‘legitimate demand’ of the NSF and ENSF to mainstream the SSA and RMSA teachers (2010 and 2013 batch) in the Education department cadre, AKM stated in a notification.
To avoid any untoward incident, AKM has cautioned all concerned to comply with the notice and stay off the road. AKM also made it clear that it would not be responsible in the event of any unfortunate events arising out of the issue.
However in public interest, AKM stated that government vehicles belonging to the district administration, police, medical department and fire and emergency services would be exempted from the purview of the agitation.
