AKM shuts down Jio telecom office again

Mokokchung, July 29 (EMN): Irked over the poor Jio service in Mokokchung district, the Ao Students’ Conference (AKM), has imposed indefinite shutdown of the firm on July 29 from 3 pm.
AKM, in a statement issued on Wednesday, stated that the indefinite shutdown would be lifted until the company assures stable, consistent and uninterrupted service/network to its consumers.
This is the second time that the Jio Telecom Service has been shut down in Mokokchung over it poor service.
The decision to shut down Jio Telecom Service was initiated after an executive council meeting of AKM on July 29 wherein the members discussed at length the poor Jio service in Mokokchung district.
The AKM has given an open invitation to the Jio Telecom Company to sign an agreement to shutdown Jio Service until proper service/connectivity is restored, the statement said. However, the company officials could not sign the agreement due to reasons best known to them, it added.
AKM strongly stated that “All Jio Telecom related services shall remain closed/ shut until the concerned company assures uninterrupted service and start restoration work in full strength.” They also declared that the office of the AKM would not be hold responsible for any untoward incident against the company thereafter as the company has time and again failed to provide proper service/connectivity/network to consumers.
In this connection, AKM declared that the officer in-charge of Mokokchung district would be held responsible adding that AKM would vigilantly monitor till the restoration work is complete.
AKM further appealed to the concerned citizens to cooperate and support the cause till the issue is resolved.
