Mokokchung, Aug. 9 (EMN):
The Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has expressed deep concern over the issues arising at the border areas, including Nagaland and other north-eastern states with Assam.

In this regard, the AKM called upon the Nagaland government to look beyond the four walls of state politics, as ‘Assam side can be seen accusing Nagaland for encroachment on many occasions’.

The student body also pointed out that AKM had its own reserve forest in the ancestral land of the Aos and ‘not as per the views of the Assam media’.

The AKM also asserted that ‘it will not compromise an inch of land that it belongs, since the blood and tears of our forefathers and the toil and trail are still not forgotten and lost.’

In this connection, the AKM has given a clarion call to all the citizens of Ao territory to be prepared in safeguarding our ancestral land.
