AKM appeals centre for execution of work at NPPC Ltd Tuli

The Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has appealed to the Minister, Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Government of India, for immediate execution of work at NPPC Ltd. Tuli.
AKM in its representation mentioned that NPPC Ltd. Tuli is one of the peace process packages after signing the first cease-fire agreement between Government of India (GOI) and the Naga People. It said after 22 years of suspension due to various reasons, the initiative of Government of Nagaland and keen interest of GOI to revive the NPPC with a revival package of 679 crore, approved by GOI is indeed an exemplary step taken by the center.
The AKM also mentioned that once the NPPC is revived, it will have a major impact on the economy of the state and also would bring solution in the present unemployment crises in the state.
The AKM in their representation laid down few points for consideration, such as speeding up the process and release of the financial package, the amount already released and yet to be released be monitored and utilized under the guidance of the minister, financial package of revival should have separate account under the management of NPPC, Tuli and not HPL Ltd and creation of a post of Managing Director and immediate appointment for efficient management.
The Students Conference also assured to intervene and solve any issue arising due to local situation for smooth functioning of NPPC Ltd. Meanwhile, the Tuli.
NPPC Workers’ Union also submitted a representation to the Minister demanding implementation of 2007 pay-scale for all NPPC workers mentioning that the NPPC workers at present are drawing their salary in the 1997 pay-scale.
