[caption id="attachment_217469" align="aligncenter" width="450"] Residents of Ahken village receive medical assistance from the Assam Rifles, on Nov. 11 in Phek district.[/caption] Dimapur, Nov. 11 (EMN): The Phek Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarter IGAR (North) conducted a free medical and check up camp at Akhen Village in Phek district on Nov. 11. A press release from the AR informed on Sunday. The medical team of Assam Rifles has provided free medical treatment and check up to local residents of Akhen and the neighbouring villages. Free medicines were provided to the ailing patients. The AR personnel also visited houses of elderly who were unable to attend the medical camp owing to health issues. Further, basic knowledge on epidemic diseases and precautions was also imparted to the locals. Altogether 79 residents received treatment, the press release added.
