Aides to PDA legislators conduct football championship

Kohima, Nov. 21 (EMN): A one-day football championship of ‘PS and PA forum to the ministers and advisors’ of the ruling People’s Democratic Alliance was held on November 20 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.

According to the convener of the forum, Hachio Patton, the championship was organised keeping in mind the need to ‘maintain and uphold the progress of the forum’, while also aiming to build up bonding and co-ordination among the members.

The teams were divided into Ministers PS and PA team A and team B; and Advisors PS and PA team A and team B.

In the matches, both the team A and team B of the Ministers PS and PA lost to the Advisors teams; and Advisor Team A took the title after defeating Advisor Team B in the final match by a scoreline of 5-3.

The winners pocketed a cash prize of INR 50,000 and Team B won INR30,000 sponsored by Neibalie, PS to Chief Minister and Hachio Patton, PS to Deputy Chief Minister respectively.

Kihito wass adjudged the best defender, Talimoa as best goalkeeper, Tohuto as highest scorer, Arenlong as best midfielder and player of the tournament was won by Itei Zeliang.

Meanwhile an exhibition match was also played between Ministers team and Advisors team and the Ministers Team won the match.

The winners received a cash prize of INR 20000 sponsored by Takameren, PS to Minister Metsubo and Meyie Chaya, PS to Advisor Zale Neikha.
