Dimapur, Feb. 21 (EMN): ANMA Integrated Development Association (Aida) conducted a seven-day advanced capacity building training for 31 programme managers, project coordinators, project managers and project officers from February 14th to the 20th.
The training was held at the Aida head office in the Don Bosco Campus, Dimapur, an update stated.
Rev. Fr. Roy George, executive director of Aida briefed the participants on the purpose of the training. He exhorted the participants to take advantage of the training by equipping oneself with the skills and aptitudes required to effectively implement the various programmes under their care.
It said that the training programme was designed to increase the capacity of the project staff with more relevant skills and knowledge. The programme touched upon conflict resolution, effective management with various approaches and skills to resolve societal issues and problems, facilitation and negotiation skills to manage the projects with efficiency and effectiveness, innovation in implementation, PRA to increase community participation, know your project and project cycle management for better planning and implementation of the projects.
The main resource persons were Dr. Lukose PJ, HOD of Social Work, Assam Don Bosco University, Guwahati, Dr. Anna Lungbila, State Coordinator of DDU-GKY programme, Rev. Fr. Roy George, executive director Aida, Joseph Mathew, ME officer of Aida, Amika Gurung, the programe manager of CAN programmes,Aida; Lanthou Mark Gonmei, Programme Coordinator Aida-SBI Gram Seva and Garrol Lotha, the programme coordinator of Child Friendly Dimapur.
