AH&VS dept. holds introductory meeting with Advisor Kinimi

Kohima: The Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services (AH&VS) held an introductory meeting with the Advisor of AH&VS, Kazheto Kinimi, and the Commissioner & Secretary of AH&VS, Vikeyie Kenya, on March 24 at the directorate conference hall, Kohima. 

Kazheto Kinimi in his address said the Department of AH&VS is a major and key department that can directly contribute to the economic growth of the state and affect the lives of the rural population, an update from the department stated.

Besides policy implementation, he also stressed on streamlining of the department by posting the right officers to the right posts to do justice to their assignments.

The advisor further appealed to the department’s officers to work more sincerely and work as a team.

Vikeyie Kenya in his speech he emphasised on the overall development of the department through the co-operation of all the officers.

Earlier, Director of AH &VS, Dr. Nsanthung Ezung in his welcome address expressed optimism that under the leadership of the new advisor, the department will reach greater heights.

An overview of departmental activities was highlighted by the Addl. Director, Dr. Thungben Yanthan.

The introductory meeting was attended by officers from Medziphema and Kohima and officers and staff from the directorate.
