AHTM begins stir to demand salary

The Aggrieved Hindi Teachers Mokokchung (AHTM 2012-2013 batches) began their agitation today to demand release of their pending salaries of six months and 6th ROP by shutting down the DEO office and three SDEO offices of Mokokchung, Mangolemba and Changtongya under Mokokchung district.
More than 100 Hindi teachers under Mokokchung district participated in the agitation.
Speaking to media persons, AHTM officials said they were informed that two months salaries will be released under 5th ROP from Kohima through Mokokchung DEO but they have turndown the offer.
Meanwhile, in a release, the AHTM said the Hindi teachers were appointed under 5th ROP on March 31, 2012 but were made to sign the pension scheme of 2010 on the assurance that the 6th ROP would be implemented in April 2012. However, the teachers were paid 5th ROP upto April 2014 for 24 months even after signing the new pension scheme.
They also said until a written assurance is received from the authority concerned they will not stop the agitation, adding that if their demands are not fulfilled they will begin their agitation in Kohima during Hornbill Festival when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the State.

Kohima Hindi teachers’ plea for salary
Aggrieved Hindi teachers of Kohima district have demanded the department of School Education to immediately release the six months pending salaries along with 6th ROP without any further delay. The aggrieved Hindi teachers would be compelled to boycott classes if their rightful demand is not met before November 10, they said in a release issued by Keneikhrielie and Kekhriezelie Kiwe
