Dimapur, July 7 (EMN): A team of Ahthibung Region Club (ARC) visited Quarantine Cell at Ahthibung (QCA), which is taking care of returnees from various parts of the country, on July 7 and provided ration and essential services for the inmates.

According to an update received here on Tuesday, the ARC team in collaboration with the Assam Rifles contributed essential commodities like rice, flour, milk and umbrellas towards the quarantine centre in the presence of JAC and Ahthibung Head GB on learning that the facility was running short of food items.

Quarantine Cell at Ahthibung currently has around 11 persons.

ARC assured to provide more help and thanked the frontline warriors who are fighting day and night to save the people from Covid-19.

In a separate press release, the management of the Quarantine Centre Ahthibung had expressed gratitude to the ARC and 36 Assam Rifles, Ahthibung post, for their humanitarian service during hard times.

It informed that the food items were handed over to the QCA manager Tonga Hangsing and Head GB PK Haolai in the presence of management members and community leaders at a brief programme was held at the premise of the common kitchen, QC Ahthibung.

Maj. Amit Pathak, post commander, 36 AR Ahthibung, and three leaders of ARC Ahthibung, led the visiting team.
