Dimapur, August 11 (EMN): The scouts & guides of Assisi Higher Secondary School (AHSS), Dimapur observed the Investiture Day 2017 on August 11 at the school ground, with Junior Telecom Officer (JTO) BSNL, C Akum, as chief guest.
In his speech, the chief guest congratulated the school and the scouts & guides in particular for their time and dedication to the movement. He encouraged the new recruits and seniors to be mentally, physically and morally invested in the movement and always be prepared to face any challenges. He also congratulated the scouts & guides on achieving the Governor’s award and bringing laurel to the school. He concluded his speech with a saying “the secret to getting ahead is getting started”.
On the occasion, 17 scouts and 11 guides were inducted to the movement.
Highlights of the program were action song by tiny tots, pyramid formation, first- aid and skit on conservation of forests by the scouts & guides.
