Agriculture department bids farewell to outgoing officers

DIMAPUR — Agriculture department bade farewell to two of its outgoing officers namely the Agriculture Production Commissioner (APC), T Mhabemo Yanthan, and the additional director, K Remphamo Lotha, during a programme held at the conference hall of its directorate in Kohima on April 2.

Speaking at the programme, the advisor of Agriculture, Mhathung Yanthan, has appreciated the outgoing officers for their services rendered to the department and urged them to continue contributing towards the society even after their retirement by utilising their knowledge and experiences that they have gained during their services.

The advisor also encouraged the staff and officers to seek cooperation and to uphold team work for improvement of department, an update from the department stated.

Also speaking on the occasion, the director Agriculture, M Ben Yanthan, lauded the outgoing officers for their unwavering contributions and services to the department and particularly to the farming community.

Report stated that the outgoing officers also delivered farewell speeches during the programme.

Short speeches on behalf of the Mission, Agri & Allied department and Agriculture department were delivered by Dr. Kruolalie Tsurho, team leader of NBRM; director of Horticulture, Meyasashi; and joint secretary of Agriculture, Khonthungo Lotha.
