Agricultural tools manufacturer launches products
Kohima, June 26 (EMN): Ludhiana-based hand/power agricultural tools manufacturer Eastman Cast & Forge Ltd has launched its products in Nagaland for the first time on June 26 at an event held in Hotel Japfu, Kohima.
Hills Agro Agency of Kohima, a popular dealer in agricultural tools, furniture and construction materials, will be the main stockist and dealer of Eastman Cast & Forge Ltd. in Nagaland.
Eastman Cast & Forge Ltd. has the distinction of having touch points in 28 countries for export in Europe, Asia, and CIS countries including Russia, Ukraine and others. The Eastman group also supplies to OEMs like John Deere, ISUZU, Mahindra & Mahindra, New Holland, Tafe, Eicher, Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors Ltd and Sonalika.
Speaking during the launch as a special guest, Additional Director of Agriculture, Kivikhu Achumi, congratulated the local entrepreneurs for roping in an exporter for better access of the people in Nagaland. He said any product that is introduced in the local market would do well if it fulfilled several areas such user friendly, durable, low fuel/power consuming, reasonable price, and availability of service centre. He wished both the company and the local entrepreneurs the best in their endeavours.
Eastman Cast & Forge Ltd. regional sales manager Bikram Dutta explained about the products of the company. He informed that currently they dealt with hand tools, power tools, agricultural and gardening tools, adding cleaning equipments would be introduced soon.
Agro Hills Agency co-proprietor, Alem Jamir, said Eastman Cast & Forge Ltd. is a well established and reputed company. He however stated that as it is a new entrant in Nagaland, the challenge would be to make a mark. He expressed confident that the quality and affordability of the products of Eastman Cast & Forge Ltd would make them an instant hit in the local market.
