Agri & allied department bids farewell to outgoing APC
Dimapur, July 2 (EMN): Agri & allied department bade farewell to its retiring Agriculture Production Commissioner (APC) and Principal Secretary, T Imkonglemba Ao, at Japfu Hotel, Kohima, on June 29.
Presiding over the programme, chairperson and Joint Secretary (APC cell) and State Project Director, congratulated the retiring APC for completing 36 years in service. She also lauded the officer for his valuable contributions at various levels during his entire service career under the State government.
Additional Secretary of Agriculture, Nungsangwapang Jamir, read out the service profile of the retiring officer.
Delivering his farewell speech, the outgoing APC and Principal Secretary thanked the Almighty for enabling to occupy the top most position with good health and sound mind. He thanked the State government and Agri & Allied department for the supporting and co-operating rendered to him during his tenure. He also thanked all ranks and file of Agri-Allied departments.
Principal Secretary of Horticulture, MK Mero, delivered the farewell speech on behalf of Agri & Allied departments, while the Additional Secretary of Agriculture, Temsinaro Aier, also delivered the farewell speech on behalf of the Agriculture department.
Director of Agriculture, M Ben Yanthan, acknowledged the outgoing APC for making the cadre review of the department of Agriculture a reality, which has benefitted all the officers in terms of promotion and proper placement.
Director of Land Resources, T Renben Lotha, and Team Leader of Nagaland Bio-Resource Mission, Dr. Kruolalie Tsurho, also spoke on the occasion.
Farewell songs were presented by officers and staff of Directorate of Agriculture and Focus – IFAD, Nagaland.
The programme was attended by the officers from Agri & Allied department, well wishers, and family members.
