DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 30
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Dimapur on Sunday evening. As expected, thousands of people young and old, men and women, lined up along the roadside from Dimapur Airport Junction to Chumukedima Police Complex to have a glimpse of Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister landed in Dimapur airport at around 6 pm from Imphal.
As Modi’s long motorcade proceeded towards Chumukedima the waiting people cheered him who have been waiting for two hours or so. The Prime Minister put on the interior lights of his car so that the people could see him. Narendra Modi waved to the people sportingly as he passed along the 10 km long distance.
It can be noted here that after Atal Bihari Vajpayee had visited Nagaland in the year 2003 no Prime Minister came to the state.
Meanwhile, the long wait of ten years for a Prime Minister to pay a visit to the State could has ended on Sunday. It is because of these ten years of wait and the huge popularity of Narendra Modi the people have come out to see him.
Mention may be made here that Narendra Modi is the second BJP Prime Minister to visit Nagaland when in chair.
