Advisor Wangpang congratulates Paralympic medallist Hokato

DIMAPUR — Advisor of Department of Social Welfare, Wangpang Konyak has congratulated Hokato Hotozhe Sema for winning a bronze medal in shot put at the Paralympic Games Paris 2024.

In a congratulatory note, the advisor said that Hokato’s journey to the Paralympics podium is a testament to his indomitable spirit, resilience, and dedication. “Overcoming challenges that would daunt many, he has shown the world what determination looks like. His success story resonates deeply with our core Naga values – perseverance, courage, and the pursuit of excellence against all odds,” Wangpang said.

He also said that this achievement marks a historic moment for Nagaland, making Hokato the first from our state to win a medal for India at the Paralympics.

Stating that Hokato’s medal is a symbol of what can be achieved when talent meets opportunity, the advisor added, “Your bronze medal shines bright, illuminating the path for future athletes from Nagaland.”
