Dimapur, June 9 (EMN): Stating that the state government is doing its best to provide better healthcare service through various health care centres, advisor of Horticulture and Border Affairs, Mhathung Yanthan, urged the churches to create an awareness to do away with social stigma.
Yanthan stated this during his tour to 39th Sanis assembly constituency on June 8. The advisor undertook the tour to boost the confidence of Sanis sub-division task force (SDTF) and ascertain preparedness to contain the Covid pandemic, a DIPR report stated on Wednesday.
Yanthan also urged the young generation of the state to rise up and meet the challenges to overcome the Covid-19 crisis. While pointing out that the state has depended on others for too long, he stated that the government has constituted a high power steering committee to improve agriculture production and overcome food deficiency.
As agriculture is the mainstay of Nagaland, he urged the young generation to avail the opportunity from the various programmes and schemes launched by the state government.
While inspecting Sungro PHC, Lakhuti PHC, Sanis CHC and Molian PHC, Yanthan has appreciated the Sanis block task force (BTF) led by its chairman and ADC Sanis, administration, doctors, healthcare workers, frontline workers, police, churches, civil societies and all others involved for rendering yeoman service for the safety of the people during the pandemic.
The advisor also donated PPE kits, oxygen concentrator, pulse oximeter, sprayer and cash to the centres.
