DIMAPUR — Advisor of School Education and SCERT Nagaland, Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, visited Government High School Mon town ‘C’ and Government Higher Secondary School, Mon, on May 28 and 29 respectively.
The advisor inspected and assessed the school building and infrastructure of the school. He called upon the school authority not to depend everything on government as many of the teachers and staff are local people and urged them to be responsible for improvement of the schools, stated a DIPR report.
He requested the school principals and the staff to let the students be involved in the cleanliness of the school. He also informed that construction of school building at Mon is better compared to other districts.
He assured that 40 to 50 schools would be upgraded within 5-10 years. He also assured to look into the matter regarding shortage of teachers.
The advisor was accompanied by the commissioner and secretary of School Education and SCERT, Kevileno Angami; mission director, Temsunaro; and Hokato Sema, executive engineer from Engineering Cell.
