Advisor Moatoshi Longkumer condemn killing of New Market GB

DIMAPUR — Advisor for Labour, Employment and Skill Development and Excise, Moatoshi Longkumer, has condemned the murder of Abdul Kayum Talukdar, the GB of New Market, by unidentified assailants on June 7 at Signal Basti Evening Bazaar at around 9:30 pm.

In a condemnation note, Longkumer said that such barbaric acts of violence disrupt the values of peace and harmony and also threaten the very fabric of the society and people must stand united against such brutality and work together to create a safe and just community for all.

“In this time of grief and outrage, let us come together as a community to support one another and uphold the principles of justice and peace,” he said, urging the law enforcement agencies to take swift action to apprehend those responsible for the crime.

“The perpetrators must be brought to justice to restore a sense of security and trust within the community. Let us trust in the judicial system and allow the law of the land to take its due course. Justice must be served through proper legal channels to ensure lasting peace and order,” it read.

Longkumer extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that the departed soul rest in peace.
