Advisor inaugurates PHED office in Longkhim town
TUENSANG — Advisor of Information Technology and Communication, Economics and Statistics and Evaluation, Sethrongkyu Sangtam, inaugurated the office of the sub-divisional officer (SDO) under Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) in Longkhim town on Tuesday.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, the advisor, who was also the special guest of the event, thanked Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, and the PHED minister, Jacob Zhimomi, for setting up the office of SDO in Longkhim sub-division. He also expressed gratitude to them for understanding the public grievances under 52 Longkhim-Chare Assembly Constituency and added that they are focused on developing the remote areas.
Sethrongkyu also sought the support and unity of the people in all developmental works in order to usher in more development in the days to come. He further thanked Thsathrichem Sangtam, chief engineer of WSSO and Sanitation under PHED, for his endeavours in fulfilling the long-awaited aspiration of the people by establishing the SDO office in Longkhim town.
The programme was chaired by Khaoshai Lam, SDO of PHED Longkhim sub-division, while the dedicatory prayer was offered by Tsalongchum, associate pastor of LTBC.
In his welcome address, Kedolhuto Punyu, executive engineer of PHED, Tuensang division, mentioned that the newly established office would cover 28 villages under Longkhim and Chare blocks in addition to Longkhim town water supply maintenance.
Short speeches were delivered by K Aliba Sangtam, president of USLP; Chumlise, Head GB of Longkhim town; Chokhaba, Head DB of Longkhim town. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Lipoksangla Chang, PHED SDO of Tuensang sub-division.
