Mokokchung, Jan. 13 (EMN):
Advisor of Treasuries and Account and National Highways, Dr. Longriniken, inaugurated a Jangpetkong Senso Mungdang community hall at Arkong ward in Mokokchung town on Thursday.

Speaking at the inaugural function, the advisor informed that the proposed 11 km Mangkolemba-Longnak road was expected to get a positive signal soon. On October 31 last year, the civil society organisations (CSO) of Mangkolemba locked the office of PWD (R&B) executive engineer in protest against the state government’s inaction to repair the said road.

Longriniken further informed he would be visiting Delhi at the end of January or the first week of February to meet the central ministry/ secretaries/ engineer in connection with construction of a road under Jangpetkong range.

“As aspired by people of the range, I hope both projects will be successful,” he asserted.

Dwelling on the unemployment scenario in the state, the advisor called upon the youth to change their mindset and focus on agriculture and entrepreneurship etc.

On Naga political issues, he reminded the people that it is each and every individual responsibility to work towards unity as Naga’s have yearned and strived for peace for many years.

In regard to the community hall, he hoped that the building would be a house of blessing for the people for ushering unity. He further challenged the Jangpetkong people to double their efforts in uniting people to accomplish more tasks, stating ‘there is strength in unity.’
