The Advenduro Northeast Nagaland Edition X motorcycle rally was flagged off in Kohima on January 26 to promote adventure tourism across the state.

KOHIMA — Advenduro Northeast Nagaland Edition X, a motorcycle rally covering different districts of Nagaland, was flagged off at PR Hill Junction, Kohima, on Monday by Vilika Peseyie, Assistant Director of Tourism.
Organised by the Nagaland Adventure Club with support from the Department of Tourism and other well-wishers, the rally includes eight riders from Manipur, Assam, and Nagaland.
Peter Rutsa, convenor of Advenduro Northeast Nagaland Edition X, highlighted that this edition is the first of its kind in India. He stated that the Nagaland Adventure Club, along with Gorilla Moto, is pleased to host the first edition in Nagaland with the support of the Tourism department and other partners.
He expressed confidence that the event will grow in the years to come and stated, "Our motive is to take the Advenduro into the other NE states."
He further noted that he looks forward to the cooperation of the other states' Tourism departments so that together they get to explore the less-visited destinations of the states in the region.

Sunil Karnanay shared that the event is about growing together as "one Northeast" in the motorsports arena. He stated that Advenduro is not a race but a challenge, as riders will have to complete 1500 km in the next five days, concluding in Kohima.
Vilika Peseyie stated that the rally is a journey that reflects the spirit of adventure and the tourism potential of the state. She shared that the rally is a powerful platform to promote local tourism. As the riders pass through towns and villages, she asked them to highlight lesser-known destinations, heritage sites, and local homestays to encourage visitors to explore beyond conventional destinations.
She expressed belief that this initiative will strengthen community-based tourism, artisans, local youths, and small entrepreneurs and position Nagaland as a promising hub for adventure and experiential tourism.
She further believes that the event will have a lasting impact on the Tourism department in the state and encouraged them to uphold the highest standards of safety, environmental responsibility and community engagement throughout the ride.
