Adroit Boys win the 1st Open Futsal tourney

Winner of the tournament Adroit Boys (Zubza) along with the organizers and match patron Ropfii Meyase after receiving the award at the Kohima local ground on Saturday.

Kohima, May 20 (EMN): Adroit Boys from Sechu (Zubza) defeated Soccer Heroes by 1-0 to clinch the 1st Open Futsal tournament, organised by Naga Football Club here at the Kohima local ground on Saturday.
Adroit Boys received a cash prize of Rs. 30,000 along with the running trophy and citation while the first runner-up Soccer Heroes received Rs. 20,000 with running trophy and citation. While the two semifinalists A Yhome and Legend Lads received Rs. 5000 each respectively.

DurinWinner of the tournament 2g the match, goalkeeper Rajusito Nagi made two early saves for Adroit FC and was kept busy for entire match but he pushes the team forward till the extra time with a clean sheet. Nagi ended up as the best goalkeeper for the tournament.
The first half saw a better team of Soccer Heroes as they continued their dominance with better ball possession and counter attacks but failed to passed the keeper.
Despite the heavy rain in the second half, Adroit FC took the advantage and started their swift counter-attack but failed to find the net. Zhotso who received the man of the match hit the woodwork in the last minute. However, the match ended in a scoreless draw.
During the allotted stoppage time, the winning goal for Adroit FC came from Zeaneikho Miasalhou who converted a penalty. The lone yellow card of the match was awarded to Zeaneikho Miasalhou in the 15th minute.
Earlier in the semifinal matches, Adroit FC defeated A Yhome FC by 3-1 and Soccer Heroes beat Legend Lads FC via a tie-breaker 2-1.
Keyidwasaplung Kulimbe of Legend Lads with nine goals was adjudged as the highest goal scorer of the tournament and the best goalkeeper Rajusito Nagi received cash of Rs.1000 each.
Neikethozo Yhome of Soccer Heroes was declared as the best player and received a cash of Rs 1500. Man of the match Shiirhosiil Zhotso of Adroit received cash of Rs 5000, donated by match patron Ropfii Meyase.
Altogether 45 teams took part in the tournament played from May 18 to 20 at Kohima local ground.
