Adroit Boys win 2nd Astro-Turf Futsal tournament

Kohima, March 14 (EMN): Adroit Boys became champions of the second Astro Turf Futsal tournament after defeating We Are Brothers 5-0 in the final match played at Zavise futsal arena, Jotsoma in Kohima on Saturday.

In the one-sided affair, Kezhangulie Medoze opened for Adroit Boys in the 6th minute and the second goal of the match coming through Shürhosül Zhotso in the 24th minute.

Moving forward, Adroit Boys went on to score their third goal through Zeanikho in the 25th minute followed by Shürhosül Zhotso’s second goal in the 28th minute. Thejaseto Gwirie added the fifth goal after two minutes to make it 5-0 at the end of the final whistle.

On road to the final, Adroit Boys scored three goals against Team Contenders in their semi-final match while We Are Brothers beat Score Heroes in their semi-final match via penalty shoot-out.

Winning the match, Adroit Boys walked home with INR 25,000 along with a trophy while We Are Brothers received INR 15,000 with citations as the runner-up.

Rajusito Nagi of Adroit Boys was adjudged the best goalkeeper while Noune Medoze of We are Brothers was declared the man of the tournament. 

 The competition was organised by OLOGOC- One Life, One Goal, One Chance Club in which 34 teams participated from across the state.
