Admission for nursery to class 7 should be free — CCSU

Dimapur, Feb. 28 (EMN): The Confederation of Chang Students’ Union (CCSU) on Sunday directed schools under the purview of the union to provide admission for nursery to class 7 free of cost as per the RTE Act 2006.

 A statement from the union said that admission must be done within 10 days from the date the government’s notification is issued. It stated that the union would take ‘stern action against those schools delaying in resuming the classes for the academic session as per the governments’ notifications’.

It also informed that it would not ‘entertain proxy teachers’ and further directed all teachers to return to the respective place of posting on or before March 5.

The union has further prohibited any form of taxation on employees/contractual works etc from any educational institutions within its jurisdiction. It has also notified all government employees of the entire department to be in station.
