ADC Tuensang issues order on Covid-19

Dimapur, April 4 (EMN): The additional deputy commissioner and administrator of Tuensang Town Council (TTC), Ajit Kumar Verma, has issued order for strict compliance with the Covid-19 protocols.

A DIPR report stated that the ADC issued the order after having observed that various shopkeepers, business establishments, hotels, restaurants are not adhering to Covid-19 appropriate practices like provision of hand washing facility/ hand sanitiser, maintaining social distancing and wearing of mask by salesman  and customers.

To effectively implemented the Covid-19 SOP, an enforcement team has been constituted with TTC supervisor Yempnag Chang, TTC assistant supervisor Molodanchi Chang, CoC&T vice president Asola, DB-II Elemmongko Chang, and DB-II LuyanYimchunger as members.

It stated that the team would ensure strict compliance of Covid-19 appropriate practice by imposing the fines against the defaulters. The team would impose a fine of INR 500 against without hand washing facility/ hand sanitisers. Repeated offence after one week would lead to sealing of the establishment with or without suspension of trade licence till facilities are provided.

The team would also impose fine of INR 200 against those with no provision/ mechanism to ensure maintenance of queue and social distancing among the customers and INR 100 for not wearing of mask by salesman, other staff and customers.
