ADC Pungro, SDO Suruhoto issue travel advisory

DIMAPUR — The additional deputy commissioner of Pungro, Vekusheyi Rhakho, has informed that the bridge at Likimro River below Salomi connecting Khongsa to Mimi area will be temporarily closed for urgent renovation from 8 am on April 23 to the 30 or till the completion of the work.

Public and vehicles commuting to or from Mimi area to Pungro headquarters and Khongsa headquarters are advised to take alternative route via New Vongti-Moya during the period of carrying out the repairing works.

In a separate statement, the sub-divisional officer of Suruhoto under Zunheboto district, Trongdipa Tongpi, informed that the Lithsami village-Yehemi village road stretch under Suruhoto sub-division will be closed for all kinds of vehicles till further notice.

In a circular, the SDO  informed that the road closure has been necessitated due to excess mudslide and landslides in various areas. All commuters to Kohima and Dimapur via Zunheboto and vice versa, Tuensang and other districts of eastern Nagaland have been informed to take note of the closure.
