Dimapur, Jan. 31 (EMN): The additional deputy commissioner (ADC) and returning officer of Dimapur, Mhalo Humtsoe, informed that the nomination papers of a member to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly in respect of 1 Dimapur-I and 3 Dimapur-III assembly constituencies should be delivered by a candidate or by any of his proposers to the returning officer or to Litsenthung Kikon, assistant returning officer, at the ADC’s office between 11 am and 3 pm on any day (other than public holiday) not later than February 7.
In a circular, the ADC informed all the concerned candidates to collect the forms of nomination paper from its office and between 11 am and 3 pm.
It informed that nomination papers would be taken up for scrutiny at the ADC office’s chamber on February 8 from 11 am to 3 pm.
It added that notice of withdrawal of candidature may be delivered either by a candidate or by any of his proposers or by his election agent, who has been authorised in writing by the candidate to deliver it to either of the officers specified before 3 pm on February 10.
In the event of the election being contested, it stated that the polling would be taken on February 27 between 7 am and 4 pm.
