Dimapur, Dec. 10 (EMN): Additional Deputy Commissioner of Bhandari has issued an order directing use of facemasks in public places as a preventive measure against community spread of Covid-19.
A DIPR update stated that the SDPO, Bhandari and officer in-charge PS Bhandari have been directed to impose fine of INR 100 on any defaulters and submit the report weekly.
It stated that all social and religious gatherings, including weddings and jubilee celebrations under Bhandari sub-division, should take prior permission from district administration for active monitoring and enforcement of standing SOP.
The church leaders and public leaders are directed to comply accordingly, it said.
It is also stated that school authorities are directed to strictly impose wearing of masks and social distancing of students. For any lapses, the concerned authorities would be liable to be prosecuted under section 51 of the National Disaster Act 2005. The officer’s in-charge have been directed to visit schools to ensure adherence of SOP. It further stated that public transport including taxis passing through Bhandari must not carry above 50% passenger capacity.
