Dimapur, Dec. 17 (EMN): Assisi Centre for Integrated Development (ACID), with the support of NDWM Nagaland region and MZF, organised a programme on career guidance for the leaders and members of the child right movement on Saturday at its hall in Dimapur.
The programme was chaired by Punam, while the welcome address was delivered by Abigail.
An update from ACID stated that Sr. Pramila, director of Assisi Centre, spoke on career guidance and the importance of choosing the right direction. She began the session by asking the children what they wanted to become in life to which many responded by aspiring to become lawyer, teacher, sports person, journalist, doctor etc.
To achieve the goals, she motivated students by telling them what they should really do, the risks they will face, choosing appropriate subject etc. She also highlighted on the conflict of interest between the parents and children in choosing their career. She added that many children simply accept the decision made by the parents. In this regard, the speaker enlightened them to choose proper career at the right time.
Altogether, 75 students attended the programme.
