EMN Dimapur, November 9 Governor of Nagaland & Assam PB Acharya extended greetings and best wishes to the people on the occasion of Kali Puja and Diwali. Governor in a message said that Kali Puja, along with Durga Puja, is the biggest Goddess festival celebrated in many parts of India. “This festival is observed on the new moon day of Ashwin month of Hindu calendar. Goddess Kali is prominently worshipped by Bengalis, Assamese and Oriyas.” He wished that the festival of lights be the harbinger of peace, joy and prosperity. “May this Diwali dispel all darkness from our state and shed the light of unity, amity and brotherhood amidst all so that there can be all-round progress and prosperity in Nagaland.”
