Acharya discusses plans for State

Governor PB Acharya called on Union Minister of Information & Broadcasting and Minister in-charge for Environment & Forest Prakash Javedkar in New Deli today and appreciated him for his initiatives in bringing the JAICA project to Nagaland. Acharya said the project will go a long way in the protection of environment and forest in the State.
He also stressed need to protect the birds and animals which are vanishing in the State.
The Union Minister assured full cooperation to the State in this regard.
In another meeting with Union Minister for Road and Surface Transport Nitin Gadkari, the Governor discussed about his mega plan for the development of NE region, particularly, Nagaland and also shared his idea of introducing aqua plan which can safely land in lakes in the State. In this connection, the Union Minister is going to hold meeting with Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner of Nagaland. He will also discuss plans for other sectors like Health, Education, Industries etc. and how to exploit the natural resources to the advantage of Naga people, PRO, Nagaland House Delhi said in a release today.
In yet another meeting with Prof. Dinesh Singh, Vice Chancellor of Delhi University, the Governor handed him project proposal to initiate the process to introduce tribal dialects of Nagaland in the university which could help in national integration and also help the non-north eastern people learn new dialects thereby bridging gap between them.
