ACAUT turns to civil society on “illegal taxation”

IN a late night communiqué the Action Committee Against Unabated Taxation have called for a joint meeting of the mass base civil society, business community, students and youth in Dimapur District on 6th August 2013,at 11am, at Hotel Crown, Nagarjan junction,Dimapur.The press release issued requests all the Tribal Hoho’s GBs Union, Dimapur Naga Students Union, Naga Women Hoho Dimapur, Dimapur Chamaber of Commerce & Industries, East Dimapur Business Association (EDBA), Chumukedima Chamber of Commerce and Trade Union (CCCTU), Dimapur Urban Council Chairmen Federation (DUCCF), Dimapur District Consumer Society (DDCS), Senior Citizen’s Forum,YAN, Naga Business Owners Association Dimapur District (NBOADD).
They have extended a special invitation to all frontal organization including the Western SumiHohoDimapur(WSH), Western Sumi Kukami Hoho Dimapur(WSKH), DNSU(Diphupar), Diphupar Naga Youth Organization(DNYO), Ao Youth Organization Dimapur, Western Sumi Youth Front(WSYF), Chakhesang Youth Organization Dimapur(CYOD).
The statement also adds that while the ACAUT has been sincere in its efforts to curb the menace of “excessive taxation”, formation of syndicates and dealerships both by overground and underground parties, it is being compelled to convene a mass base civil society meeting to further address the burning issue affecting all in the state.
