ACAUT Nagaland has extended full support and expressed solidarity with the aggrieved Hindi teachers which are picketing School Education offices throughout the State for non release of their salary for last six months.
Asking what the department of School Education has done over the last six months in regard to the grievances of the Hindi teachers, the ACAUT demanded that their salary be released immediately.
It also expressed deep concern over the level of corruption in the department of School Education and demanded to know why an amount Rs 2500 and Rs 2000 amounting to more than Rs 27 lakh was deducted from each graduate and non-graduate aggrieved Hindi teachers numbering 1379 by the department starting from the month of August 2013 on the promise of making their salary at 6th ROP scale and release of arrears from the date of joining. The ACAUT said this has not been implemented till date which is a clear case of duping.
The ACAUT condemned such day light robbery from those people who are grooming the future generation and demanded to know on what ground such a huge amount was deducted when they are already being paid by the State exchequer to discharge such duty.
The ACAUT also expressed serious concern over 10% deduction from monthly salary of the aggrieved Hindi teachers by the School Education department under New Pension Scheme amounting to more than Rs 4.5 crore. But the deducted amount has not been deposited in their PRAN Card, the ACAUT said and demanded to know where this money has gone.
ACAUT further demanded that the government immediately investigate into case of siphoning of New Pension Scheme and duping of aggrieved Hindi teachers.
