ACAUT signature campaign against unabated taxation ends

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 25

THE signature campaign of Action Committee Against Unauthorized Taxation (ACAUT) which began on October 23 concluded at City Tower junction, Dimapur today.
With a view to rid Nagaland of illegal taxation, extortion and uplift business establishment as well as denizens of the State, the ACAUT came up with the signature campaign which saw positive support and participation from the public. The participation and support from the public has boost up the will of ACAUT. On the concluding day of the campaign, organizations such as Youth Association Nagaland (YAN), Naga Women Hoho, Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo (DABA) and DABA Youth Ministry, Ao Senso Telongjem, Ao Youth Organization, Ao Students Union Dimapur, senior citizens and around 100 representatives turned up for the day with equal participation from Pastors.
The Ao Senso Telongjem, lauding the initiative taken up ACAUT, said Naga Council belongs to everyone and not just a few members. It called upon every individual to take up the challenge and not to alienate from our core target. It also extended its full support to the mission taken up by ACAUT.
It may be noted that ACAUT will be holding a public “awareness rally” on October 31 at City Tower Dimapur. The committee appealed for participation from different organizations and leaders of the State on the day.
