Dimapur, Aug. 25: In line with the central government's guidelines, the department of Food and Civil Supplies census 2011 states that 2, 37,434 Priority House Hold (PHH) and 47500 Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) have been identified which covers a total population of 14, 03, 579, the department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) reports.
The report which was a basic facts study of the department of Food and Civil Supplies gave updates that under the PHH scheme each beneficiary was provided five kg of rice at a rate of INR three per kg. There are 76 Public Distribution Centres and 1622 Fair Price Shops (FPS) in the state. The present montly sugar requirement is 1179 MT and Superior Kerosene Oil (SKO) monthly allocation to the state was 855 KL.
The report maintained that the dept. completed 100% digitisation of National Food Security Act (NFSA) beneficiaries; aadhaar seeding of NFSA beneficiaries' data increased from 0% to 55.4%; and completed GPS mapping of 1622 FPSs i.e. 1332 rural and 290 urban FPSs and 36 state owned godowns and 40 sites for new godowns construction using compass coordination and Google map.
