Dimapur, September 10: The annual general body meeting of the Anglers’ Association of Nagaland was held on Saturday at the conference hall of Hotel Saramati on Saturday.
The press release stated that the meeting was focused on the growth of the association by promoting angling in the state of Nagaland and by creating awareness of sustained conservation of fish in Nagaland. The meeting also discuss on its achievement and various activities including formation district chapters across the state. After three years of formation, AAN have more than 500 members across the state and is also affiliated to All India Game Fishing Association.
Speaking on the occasion, outgoing president Issac Zhimomi thanked the members for supporting him and his team of office bearers and contributing in the course of three years. He was optimistic that with the zeal and enthusiasm of the members the association would be able to achieve its aims and objectives.
Meanwhile, the association also has inducted the new team of office bearers, the new team would be led by Phukato Zhimomi as president, Mhonbemo Ngullie as vice president, Ricky Ozukum as general secretary, H. Lawrence as secretary organisation and events, Akai Awomi as finance secretary, Peteneizo Kense as secretary publicity and information and Akumtemjen as statistical secretary. Derek D Souza, the technical advisor of the association while Wati Jamir would remain senior advisor.
