Kohima, July 23 (EMN): A book titled ‘The little book of Jesse,’ written by Jesse Thonger was officially released by the deputy speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Yangseo Sangtam, on Saturday.

Speaking at the book release event, Yangseo remarked that the author has ‘re-ignited the dying art’ through writing with the book. Sangtam lamented that writing has now become a dying art with the invasion of modern technology.

‘We are living in a perplexed state and are living in a different condition and the author is re-igniting the dying art of writing,’ he said.

Lauding the author, he expressed hope that readers would be inspired and benefit from reading of the book. The deputy speaker released the book in the presence of S Keoshu Yimchunger, advisor of Information and Public Relations, and Village Guards in Kohima.

Publisher of the PenThrill Publication, Vishü Rita Krocha, said the book is an unusual manuscript considering the publishing were mostly books on other genres such as poetry, short stories, novels and fiction.

She believed that Jesse has written the book to ignite that inner spark that each person already has, but have not been able to live to the fullest potentials yet. She expressed hope that the book would help fellow human being to live with zest and vigour, especially young people his age, who would relate more to the thoughts and messages he is trying to convey through the book.

She further informed that ‘The little book of Jesse’ is the 59th publication of PenThrill.

The author, Jesse Thonger, is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Arts with English as Major in English at Sazolie College. In 2019, he received a national recognition from Katha Utsav in writing. He enjoyed writing philosophical stuffs, listen to audio books, and also maintains a dairy.
