Dimapur, July 1 (EMN):
A book titled ‘Ray of Inspiration’ (Volume 1), authored by Rev. Dr. T Alemmeren was released by the chief editor of Ao vernacular ‘Tir Yimyim,’ K Temjen Jamir at the Lighthouse Church, Hill View Colony, Dimapur, on Thursday.

The book, which is a collection of poems written at a young age, the author informed that it was published in a printed version for young people of this generation.

In the preface, the author expressed his love and dedication to the Lord and urged the esteemed readers to focus on the purpose and content of the poem and not on writing style, grammar and composition.

Through the poem, the author wished to inspire deeper and genuine dedication to the call of God and to wholeheartedly fulfil the great commission of the Lord.

In the book, the author urged the younger generation to invest on spiritual treasure rather than on material wealth which are temporary.

Also speaking at the programme, the editor of the book, Dr. Akumla Longkumer, said that 90 poems were part of a collection of around 300 poems that the author had written during a span of over four decades (1956-1998).

Longkumer in the introduction of the book mentioned that the poems were written during the days when the author was a theological student.

Also speaking at the programme, the chief editor of Tir Yim Yim, K Temjen Jamir said, “When one hears about sending 10,000 missionaries from Nagaland to all over the world to preach the gospel, immediately one name comes to mind is Rev. Dr. T Alemmeren.”
