Dimapur, Aug. 22 (EMN): A souvenir book titled “Mitsa” (Fort), containing e-spiritual sermons on Covid-19 quarantine ministry published and prepared by the Dimapur Area Ao Baptist Churches and Dimapur-based Ao civil societies was released at Dimapur Ao Baptist Church (Daba) on August 22 and dedicated by Daba pastor Rev. I Wati.
The souvenir contains activities and contributions made by the people during the 20-day quarantine period at Dimapur Government College as well as ‘Thank You’ letters and testimonies written by the guests in the three quarantine centres at the college. The quarantine centres were managed by the Dimapur Area Ao Baptist Churches and Dimapur-based Ao civil societies from June 1 to the 20th.
The souvenir was published in memory of the pandemic situation as well as to acknowledge the grace of God and generous contributions made by many people in order to collectively contain the Covid-19 pandemic. It is hoped that the collective effort as a part of participation in Covid-19 war would further encourage people to fight together against diseases and social evils even in the days to come.
The e-sermons were prayerfully prepared by pastors in respective Ao churches in Dimapur area and delivered electronically to the sons and daughters during the quarantine period, it was informed.
“We have selectively compiled these spiritual sermons both in English and Nagamese so that it may also be useful for other quarantine centres,” an update from Daba associate pastor Toshi Longkumer stated. He added that the e-sermons on Covid-19 quarantine ministry would be available with him free of cost for people who want it.
Meanwhile, the Dimapur Area Ao Baptist Churches and Dimapur-based Ao civil societies have reaffirmed its commitment to continuously render all possible service and support to the government and medical fraternity in particular in the war against Covid-19.
