‘The White Owl Book Lounge’ inaugurated in Chümoukedima

Dimapur, Oct. 14 (EMN): ‘The White Owl Book Lounge,’ where people can buy or borrow books, was inaugurated by Kaisa Rio, wife of Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, on Saturday at Chümoukedima,  adjacent to Niathu Resort entrance gate.

People who love to read can come and buy books as well as apply for membership and borrow books from the library. The kind of books available at the book lounge included fiction, non-fiction, Naga literature, classics, children books and others.

There is also a separate library room for children, mindful nest- a room for seminars, discussion, or book clubs, as well as a cafe within the library.

The proprietor of the book lounge, Viketuno Rio, shared that it has always been a dream to have a space where people can come and read. She shared that her vision was to build a community of readers, where they can make meaningful new connections and ultimately transform the world around them.

She informed that the library would be opened for members, whereby they can come and borrow books.

During the inaugural programme, the dedicatory prayer was said by Vilodi Sakhrie, pastor of Town Baptist Church, Dimapur.
