Dimapur, Nov. 17 (EMN): A biography of Rev. Waimeren titled as “Ajemalu Sannüker” (Humble Shepherd), authored by Rev. Dr. Mar Atsongchanger, ABAM executive secretary, was  released  by Rev. Dr. K Imo Aier on November 15 in Dimapur at the residence of Senti, sone of late Rev. Waimeren.

Rev. Waimeren was a son of the first Christian family in Chuchuyimlang village under Mokokchung district. He had cerebral palsy problem in his childhood was healed instantly when his parents accepted Christ as their lord in the year 1920. He became an influential pastor later in his life.

In his remarks, Rev. Aier described Rev. Waimeren as an anointed priest, a prophet, man of integrity, visionary and a humble and forgiving person. He recommended the book for the ministers in the Lord’s service and theological students for their spiritual guidance and church ministries.

The biography was 2nd edition with additional stories on his life. The first biography was published and released in 2008.

While sharing the purpose for publication of the book, the author said, “this book was written and published again with a purpose to let other people inspire and get spiritual experience as Rev. Waimeren encountered in his pastoral journey.”

While he was studying at Calcutta Bible College, Rev. Waimeren received many sponsorships and financial support from well wishers and one of them was a US army Charlie. As he received more than his needs in the college, he spared a sum of INR 50 every month and handed it over to his principal, Rev. Peck to support poor students like him in the college when he left the college after completion of his studies.

As a spiritual legacy of their parents, his children collectively continue a soul winning ministry known as “Wangdangtep Family Mission.”
